This page is our summary of what Entergy publishes, in our own words. It is not Entergy’s requirement list and it can be out of date. PrequalReady is not affiliated with Entergy, Avetta or any other network or operator.
1. Which network Entergy uses
Avetta. Entergy’s Doing business with Entergy page says suppliers that provide on-site services must register in Avetta, which it calls the Entergy Supplier Management Program, and that Avetta registration is by invitation only. Its Supplier Safety Qualification Guide says most suppliers that come to Entergy-managed property to perform services must become safety qualified through Avetta, and that Supply Chain invites the suppliers who need to.
2. What the sources say contractors must do
- Register when invited. Supply Chain sends the invitation. Prospective suppliers first register in Entergy’s supplier database, PowerAdvocate, to be eligible for sourcing events, and the page links a registration guide.
- Meet the minimum safety requirements. The guide lists:
- an experience modification rate (EMR) for the latest year of 1.0 or lower;
- a total recordable incident rate (TRIR) and a days away, restricted or transferred rate (DART), each as a three-year average, at or below 100% of the rate for each NAICS code that applies to your business;
- no fatalities in the last three years;
- no OSHA willful or serious citations in the last three years.
- Submit an annual certificate of insurance. The page links step-by-step help for submitting the annual certificate of insurance to Avetta’s Entergy page. Our certificate of insurance guide explains what is usually checked.
- Keep your information current. Entergy’s steps for suppliers say active suppliers maintain their company information in the supplier portal, including insurance, Avetta, OSHA records as required and company safety policy information as required.
- Sourcing events. Taking part in a sourcing event may require validation of safety performance, credit risk, years in business and other attributes.
- A fee discount for some local suppliers. First-time Avetta registrants that are local suppliers with significant operations in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas or Arkansas, and registered on Entergy’s portal, may be eligible for a discount on the Avetta fee with a code given on the page. The page says discounts do not apply to renewals.
The page gives Avetta’s email and phone for questions, and an Entergy supplier mailbox. It names no Avetta grade or flag color.
3. The yearly dates that apply
These dates apply to a supplier that works through Avetta for Entergy. Our guide to the Avetta annual update explains the March 31 date.
- Every 12 months from the date you first subscribed: the Avetta subscription renews automatically, with the renewal invoice issued 30 days before as your notice (Avetta End User Service Agreement).
- February 1, until April 30: post the OSHA 300A summary, if you must keep OSHA injury and illness records (OSHA 29 CFR 1904.32).
- March 2: submit the 300A to OSHA online, if your establishment is covered (OSHA 29 CFR 1904.41).
- March 31: complete the Avetta annual update (Avetta supplier update FAQ).
- Every year: the certificate of insurance, which Entergy’s page calls annual.
- Your own dates for this client: the expiry of each policy and your new EMR when it arrives.
4. Confirm with Entergy
Requirements change. Neither web page shows a date, and the qualification guide carries a 2016 copyright and says “most suppliers”, not all. Before you rely on any item here, confirm it with Entergy and in your Avetta account.
Other operators: Southern Company, PG&E, NiSource, Spire, or all operator pages.
5. Sources
Every source was opened on October 14, 2026.

- Entergy, Supplier Safety Qualification Guide (PDF; © 2016, no other date).
- Avetta, annual supplier update FAQ (no date on the page) and End User Service Agreement (last updated October 1, 2026).

6. Keep it in one workspace
PrequalReady is a workspace that keeps each hiring client’s requirements, your documents and every expiry date in one place, and emails reminders before your dates. It does not log in to Avetta for you, and it does not judge whether your documents are acceptable. It is free during early access. Keeping many contractors qualified? See the consultant view.
Start with the free checklist: the items hiring clients most often ask for, with their sources and the yearly dates, and Entergy already filled in. No account; nothing is sent anywhere.
