This page is our summary of what Chord Energy publishes, in our own words. It is not Chord Energy’s requirement list and it can be out of date. PrequalReady is not affiliated with Chord Energy, ISNetworld or any other network or operator.
1. Which network Chord Energy uses
ISNetworld (ISN). Chord Energy’s Vendors page links a document titled “Minimum On-Boarding Requirements for New Suppliers/Contractors”. It says contractors and service providers will be required to have an account registered with ISN, and to show that they meet Chord’s contractor management requirements, before the master service agreement (MSA) process starts (Chord Energy on-boarding document).
2. What the source says contractors must do
- Get an ISN account first. Either connect your existing ISN account to Chord inside ISN and complete the requirements specific to Chord, or set up a new contractor account with ISN.
- Pass Chord’s review before working at a location. Before a contractor is approved to provide services or equipment at any Chord location or facility, Chord reviews its company information and safety records.
- What is reviewed: a company profile; a health, safety and environmental (HSE) questionnaire; a review of your HSE programs and compliance documents; your acknowledgement of Chord’s contractor management requirements, including its EHS minimum requirements and incident case management; a certificate of insurance for verification; and safety orientation training.
- Orientation: Chord says on-site contractors need an industry-recognized safety orientation standardized by IADC, PEC, the North Dakota Safety Council or the North Dakota Petroleum Council.
- Questions: questions about ISN go to ISN customer service; questions about Chord’s contractor management go to the contact named in the document. The document does not name a minimum ISN grade.
- Separate from ISN: Chord’s Vendors page also asks vendors for a completed W-8 or W-9 tax form, and says invoices go through OpenInvoice.
3. The yearly dates that apply
These dates apply to any contractor on ISNetworld, whichever hiring client asked for it. The ISNetworld renewal checklist explains each one and shows its source.
- Every year, on or before the anniversary of your ISN activation date: pay the annual fee to renew your ISNetworld subscription (ISN User Agreement).
- February 1, until April 30: post the OSHA 300A summary, if you must keep OSHA injury and illness records (OSHA 29 CFR 1904.32).
- March 2: submit the 300A to OSHA online, if your establishment is covered (OSHA 29 CFR 1904.41).
- Your own dates for this client: the expiry of your insurance certificate, your safety orientation records, and any update you are asked for in ISN.
4. Confirm with Chord Energy
Requirements change, and the document we read shows no date. Before you rely on any item here, confirm it with Chord Energy and in your own ISNetworld account, where each hiring client’s requirements are listed.
Other operators: Devon Energy, Kinder Morgan, Ovintiv, EQT, or all operator pages.
5. Sources
Every source was opened on October 14, 2026.

6. Keep it in one workspace
PrequalReady is a workspace that keeps each hiring client’s requirements, your documents and every expiry date in one place, and emails reminders before your dates. It does not log in to ISNetworld for you, and it does not judge whether your documents are acceptable. It is free during early access. Keeping many contractors qualified? See the consultant view.
