This page is our summary of what Kinder Morgan publishes, in our own words. It is not Kinder Morgan’s requirement list and it can be out of date. PrequalReady is not affiliated with Kinder Morgan, ISNetworld or any other network or operator.
1. Which network Kinder Morgan uses
ISNetworld (ISN). Kinder Morgan’s Safety Compliance page says that, to be considered during its contractor services selection process, each contract company must subscribe to ISNetworld and maintain the subscription. It calls ISNetworld its primary contractor information management system.
2. What the source says contractors must do
The page says your ISN subscription gives Kinder Morgan access to the following, and describes what you do for each:
- The EHS questionnaire. ISN’s Management System Questionnaire collects your company’s EHS data and quarterly statistics.
- Written programs. ISN’s review service checks your written health and safety programs against regulatory and Kinder Morgan standards.
- Insurance. ISN reviews your certificate of insurance against Kinder Morgan’s requirements.
- DOT operator qualification. Contractors affected by the OQ regulation must make sure their employees’ OQ records are entered in ISN and available to Kinder Morgan.
- DOT drug and alcohol. Contractors doing DOT work must have a drug and alcohol plan, which Kinder Morgan’s third-party auditor reviews.
- On-site reviews. Kinder Morgan may audit your EHS programs, with prior notice, and the results are stored in ISN.
- ISN photo ID. Since July 1, 2017, every person working for a contractor or subcontractor that meets the subscription requirement must have an ISN photo ID badge, or its electronic version, available at any Kinder Morgan location or project.
- KM Core training. Workers complete it inside ISN before they arrive on site. Individual locations may also require a site-specific orientation or training.
- The fee. The page says there is a fee to subscribe to ISNetworld.
The page also links Kinder Morgan’s contractor safety manuals, forms and training guides, including a document titled “2026 Changes to Contractor Environmental Safety Manual”. Read the current ones before you start work.
3. The yearly dates that apply
These dates apply to any contractor on ISNetworld, whichever hiring client asked for it. The ISNetworld renewal checklist explains each one and shows its source.
- Every year, on or before the anniversary of your ISN activation date: pay the annual fee to renew your ISNetworld subscription (ISN User Agreement).
- February 1, until April 30: post the OSHA 300A summary, if you must keep OSHA injury and illness records (OSHA 29 CFR 1904.32).
- March 2: submit the 300A to OSHA online, if your establishment is covered (OSHA 29 CFR 1904.41).
- Every quarter: the statistics that Kinder Morgan’s page says its questionnaire collects.
- Your own dates for this client: the expiry of your insurance certificate, your workers’ training and any DOT records you keep for this work.
4. Confirm with Kinder Morgan
Requirements change, and the page we read shows no date. Before you rely on any item here, confirm it with Kinder Morgan and in your own ISNetworld account, where each hiring client’s requirements are listed.
Other operators: Chord Energy, Devon Energy, Ovintiv, EQT, or all operator pages.
5. Sources
Every source was opened on October 14, 2026.
- Kinder Morgan, Safety Compliance (no date on the page).
- ISNetworld, User Agreement for contractors and suppliers (no date on the page).
- OSHA, 29 CFR 1904.32 and 29 CFR 1904.41.

6. Keep it in one workspace
PrequalReady is a workspace that keeps each hiring client’s requirements, your documents and every expiry date in one place, and emails reminders before your dates. It does not log in to ISNetworld for you, and it does not judge whether your documents are acceptable. It is free during early access. Keeping many contractors qualified? See the consultant view.
Start with the free checklist: the items hiring clients most often ask for, with their sources and the yearly dates, and Kinder Morgan already filled in. No account; nothing is sent anywhere.
