This page is our summary of what Devon Energy publishes, in our own words. It is not Devon Energy’s requirement list and it can be out of date. PrequalReady is not affiliated with Devon Energy, ISNetworld or any other network or operator.
1. Which network Devon Energy uses
ISNetworld (ISN). Devon’s Supplier Qualification Requirements page says a contractor that Devon selects, and that provides goods or services to its field operations, will be required to subscribe to ISNetworld. Devon’s FAQ says it currently uses ISNetworld to track EHS information.
2. What the sources say contractors must do
- Be awarded work first. Devon says it does not pre-qualify contractors: a company is set up as an approved contractor only after Devon awards it work. Subscribing to ISNetworld does not guarantee that your company is added to Devon’s supplier list, and Devon’s policy is to use only contractors that have completed its qualification process.
- Agreements. You may have to sign an agreement, issued after a Devon business sponsor requests contractor setup, and further agreements Devon requires. Read the policies Devon lists, for example its drug and alcohol policy and its information system usage policy, before work starts and while you work.
- Insurance. When Devon requires it, you provide insurance verification. The page lists these minimums: general liability of $1 million (Devon says it can range up to $10 million depending on the service), auto liability of $1 million and workers’ compensation of $1 million, with additional insured status and a waiver of subrogation. Insurers need an AM Best rating of A- or higher, and the certificate holder name must include every Devon entity on the agreement.
- EHS programs. Your programs must meet or exceed federal, state and local rules. Some agreements also require meeting Devon’s own protocols, which the page lists, such as confined space, hot work, ground disturbance, lifting and rigging, and spill prevention.
- Training. Devon points to orientation courses hosted in ISNetworld: a field safety briefing, and courses for oil and water hauling and for other transportation.
- Setup. The FAQ says Devon cannot upload your insurance certificate to ISNetworld for you, so you or your agent must. It says setup takes about two to three business days when no agreement, insurance or ISNetworld subscription is needed, and about two to three weeks when they are. It closes the setup request if it hears nothing for 30 days after sending the packet, and you cannot work for Devon before you are approved.
- Changes. Devon says it may change the documents it lists from time to time without notice.
3. The yearly dates that apply
These dates apply to any contractor on ISNetworld, whichever hiring client asked for it. The ISNetworld renewal checklist explains each one and shows its source.
- Every year, on or before the anniversary of your ISN activation date: pay the annual fee to renew your ISNetworld subscription (ISN User Agreement).
- February 1, until April 30: post the OSHA 300A summary, if you must keep OSHA injury and illness records (OSHA 29 CFR 1904.32).
- March 2: submit the 300A to OSHA online, if your establishment is covered (OSHA 29 CFR 1904.41).
- Your own dates for this client: the expiry of each insurance policy on the certificate, and any update your agreement asks for.
4. Confirm with Devon Energy
Requirements change, and the pages we read show no date. Before you rely on any item here, confirm it with Devon Energy and in your own ISNetworld account, where each hiring client’s requirements are listed.
Other operators: Chord Energy, Kinder Morgan, Ovintiv, EQT, or all operator pages.

6. Keep it in one workspace
PrequalReady is a workspace that keeps each hiring client’s requirements, your documents and every expiry date in one place, and emails reminders before your dates. It does not log in to ISNetworld for you, and it does not judge whether your documents are acceptable. It is free during early access. Keeping many contractors qualified? See the consultant view.
