This page is our summary of what Coterra Energy publishes, in our own words. It is not Coterra Energy’s requirement list and it can be out of date. PrequalReady is not affiliated with Coterra Energy, ISNetworld or any other network or operator.
1. Which network Coterra Energy uses
ISNetworld (ISN). Coterra’s Safety Handbooks page links its Contractor’s Responsibilities Policy and its EHS Handbook, and both name ISNetworld. The page also says Coterra completed its merger with Devon Energy on May 7, 2026, and points to devonenergy.com. Devon’s own supplier pages are summarized on the Devon Energy page.
2. What the sources say contractors must do
- Meet the ISN membership requirements. Provide all required documentation; have and maintain EHS programs approved through ISN’s Review and Verification Services (RAVS); and make sure employees follow those programs, shown through ISN’s training review (TRAVS).
- Insurance. Meet all insurance requirements, including liability and workers’ compensation, and provide the requested documentation through ISNetworld.
- Evidence training in ISNetworld. The policy says contractors are responsible for evidencing current training through their ISNetworld subscription.
- Hot work. Contractors doing hot work at a Coterra facility show compliance with the ISN subscription requirements; the policy says ISN program approval verifies the hot work program meets regulatory requirements.
- Subcontractors. Hold subcontractors to the same standards, including insurance, shown by an executed waiver of lien under the master services agreement before work starts.
- Run your own safety program. Contractors are solely responsible for a safety program for the work they do, and for safety equipment and training for their own and their subcontractors’ employees.
- Orientation, meetings and reporting. The handbook says contractor personnel get an on-site safety orientation, attend and take part in Coterra-sponsored safety discussions and meetings, and report all actual or potential incidents, spills and releases immediately to the Coterra representative.
- Stop work. Stop Work Authority applies to everyone at Coterra worksites, and contractors develop and implement a stop work authority program.
3. The yearly dates that apply
These dates apply to any contractor on ISNetworld, whichever hiring client asked for it. The ISNetworld renewal checklist explains each one and shows its source.
- Every year, on or before the anniversary of your ISN activation date: pay the annual fee to renew your ISNetworld subscription (ISN User Agreement).
- February 1, until April 30: post the OSHA 300A summary, if you must keep OSHA injury and illness records (OSHA 29 CFR 1904.32).
- March 2: submit the 300A to OSHA online, if your establishment is covered (OSHA 29 CFR 1904.41).
- Your own dates for this client: the expiry of your insurance, the training records your employees show in ISNetworld, and the date of each approved EHS program.
4. Confirm with Coterra Energy
Requirements change, and the pages we read show no date; the handbook cover says May 31, 2024. With the merger, Coterra’s documents may be replaced by Devon’s. Before you rely on any item here, confirm it with Devon Energy or Coterra and in your own ISNetworld account, where each hiring client’s requirements are listed.
Other operators: Devon Energy, Chord Energy, Ovintiv, EQT, Continental Resources, or all operator pages.

6. Keep it in one workspace
PrequalReady is a workspace that keeps each hiring client’s requirements, your documents and every expiry date in one place, and emails reminders before your dates. It does not log in to ISNetworld, Avetta or Veriforce for you, and it does not judge whether your documents are acceptable. It is free during early access. Keeping many contractors qualified?
